Glenda Worsdall's painting for Reg's 'Strictly Come Dancing' project, focusing on the movement aspect of the project. If you look closely you can see his dinner getting away! Painted in acrylic.

Also a brilliant bit of pyrography by Glenda, a very interesting medium!

Painting by Peter Cook for Reg's 'Strictly Come Dancing Project', focusing on movement.

"When Reg introduced the Strictly Come Dancing he said he didn’t mind what the picture was about but he was looking for movement and this has it even if it is a picture of a munitions factory in the First World War I must admit that the women do not look as glamorous as in Strictly but they probably have a lot more clothes on despite the tremendous heat from the furnaces. Rather surprisingly the painting is by Stanhope Forbes, the chap that started the Newlyn School of Art. I never really liked his pictures of Cornish fishermen in black oilskins on the beach but I thought this picture was something all together different.
My aunt who had a very quiet voice and was rather refined went to work in a munitions factory and became a team leader and when she was ninety and living on her own Cooper Lybrands the Accountants used to send a chauffeur to collect her for work where she was teaching the students about this new thing called a computer."

Got hold of a couple of old A R Quinton books and loved his work so I used "lockdown" time to paint a couple in his style. Hollyhocks and meadows in Ross-on-Wye after A R Quinton
