John, our club’s newly appointed Chairman, says he started drawing many years ago at an art club in Hucknall where he once lived. On moving to Southwell, he joined the Newark Art Club in 1994 which introduced him to painting in oils and later acrylics. He has done commission work of domestic animals, landscapes, boats and buildings for individuals and for charity fundraising.
